Ben Swimm is an educator and poet from Madison, Wisconsin. Since 2009, he has lived and worked in Palmer, Alaska, on ancestral lands of the Ahtna and Dena’ina people since 2009. Ben holds a BA in Biology from Williams College and an MFA in Poetry from Oregon State University. His poems have appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Narrative, Copper Nickel, and Camas, among other publications.

In addition to writing, Ben works as an educator and farm manager at Alaska Pacific University’s Spring Creek Farm, He also co-owns and operates Brown Dog Flower Farm, in Palmer, with his partner Mimi and their dog, Oliver.
